Dear Families and Students,
Welcome to kindergarten at Oak Grove Elementary School! We are very excited to have your child in our classroom! Kindergarten is a time of beginnings, friendships, and exploring and learning each day. We are delighted to have the pleasure of watching your child grow throughout the year. Kindergarteners learn so much every day! We are focusing on school procedures, rules, and routines these first few weeks of school so that your child is in a safe and supportive educational environment.

Mrs. White
I am a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in Elementary Education and am certified in grades K-6. I am currently in graduate school online, working towards a Masters degree in Curriculum & Instruction. This is my seventh year as a kindergarten teacher at Oak Grove and I am very excited about our year ahead together!
Ms. Jones
I attended North Carolina State University majoring in speech communications. I taught pre-school for three years before arriving at Oak Grove. This is my sixteenth year as a teacher assistant and I am thrilled about the upcoming school year!

If you would like to meet with Mrs. White prior to first quarter parent conferences, please schedule a time. Available times include before school, after school, and occasionally during the student’s specials (art, music, etc.) The students are our number one priority, particularly during school hours. Therefore, please allow us to give your child the appropriate attention by scheduling conferences with Mrs. White in advance.
Again, we are thrilled to be a part of such an important time in your life! We feel very fortunate to be able to support both you and your child in kindergarten at Oak Grove. We look forward to getting to know you!
