Below is a list of dates we will meet. We will not meet when track 2 is tracked out. Members are welcome to attend meetings when they are tracked out. All meeting will begin at 4:00 and end at 4:45.

Welcome Back Oak Grove Artist’s!

This year in Art Class students will:

*explore the great art, artists, and cultures of the world.

* collaborate and share ideas and solve problems that relate to group projects

*Make connections between visual art and math, science, social studies and literature   

*develop skills to understand and appreciate artwork.

*Discover art is everywhere there is imagination, invention, and creativity 

*participate in hands-on art activities.  

*develop critical thinking skills by studying their own and others’ artwork.

In art, one of the most rewarding experiences for students is to overcome the fear of making mistakes and create a work of personal expression that ultimately surprises them and instills confidence and pride. As your child’s art teacher, there is no greater joy than to witness this each day~

In the next few weeks I will be developing a webpage where you will be able to see what art activities and events are taking place. There will also be a supply list posted for upcoming activities. Many art activities include recyclable and items you may have extra of around the house. Donations are always greatly appreciated!
